I saw these stairs the other day and fell in love with the idea of painting a faux stair runner! I've always loved painted floors but been afraid to "ruin" beautiful hardwood floors, so painted stairs might just be my perfect compromise (and I have a few
patterns from Haymarket Designs that I'd love to try out!)

I love painted floors in an entryway or mudroom. I haven't seen painted floors in other rooms very much but if done well I think it can be a very unique look! Great pics.

I like painted floors too--it's always such a surprise in a room! I've never seen painted stairs, and could barely even tell that was paint in the first picture and not an actual runner, cool!
