I've been searching high and low for more Bamboo Chippendale Chairs to complete my dining room set.
I have not had much luck yet, but I did comes across some great prints of the chairs' classically
chic siloutte during one of my latest Etsy searches.

Which is your favorite?

DIY: Matchbook Shadowbox

It's been over a year since I moved back from New York and I've been trying to figure out what
 to do with the 100+ matches I collected from restaurants during my four years there.

Flipping through the sneak peak of Kate Spade's 'Things We Love' book I saw this (that I'm guessing is by the talented Caitlin McGauley), and the wheels started turning about making a matchbook collage. 

So I bought a 16 x 20" shadowbox frame by from the local craft store and set out on my collage. 

After several too many hours of sorting, arranging and rearranging again to

 create the perfect mixture of colors and shapes I ended up with this. 

I then glued them all down to the back of the shadow box frame so they'd
stay in place for years to come and ta-da!

The matches are not quite "vintage" yet but I love the mix of all the colors, fonts and images!
And now I'll always be reminded of some my favorite memories in New York.

Friday Find...Nike Tempo Shorts with Patterns

Tomorrow I'm running in the Monument Avenue 10k. It's a fun run down historic Monument Avenue in Richmond, Va and was named one of the top 10 races by USA Today.



To prepare for the race, I had to get some cute new workout clothes of course! I went for my go-to Nike Tempo shorts and was happily surprised to see them in new graphic prints! Looking at the patterns you would have thought I designed them myself. Greek Key, Zebra and Stripes..oh my!
